KC Power Jersey Presentation
The Kansas City Power has been training hard since April, the beginning of preseason, and is now pushing harder and stronger as the regular season gets under way. Preseason began with the annual Kirkie Cup and continued to include two KC Power practice games. Not only was the Kirkie Cup the first game for several rookies, but it also presented the opportunity to play another club since the Des Moines Roosters traveled down to compete. The regular season is now under way and the first year players have trained hard, worked hard, and played hard! The training session of Tuesday, June 1st acknowledged their hard work when a KC Power Jersey and number was presented to several of the first year players. With new talent each year the KC Power continues to grow strong!
Matt Unger presented Chris Rey #38, Jeff Webb presented David James #20, David Fritz presented Micah Fritz #34
Chris Rey is proving himself on the field, as well as supporting the team off the field by sponsoring the KC Power with his company Derksen Portable Buildings. David James has shown consitancy both in games and his strong efforts at practice. David Fritz recruited his brother Micah Fritz who has had a great showing in his first games of the season.
The Kansas City Power trains every Tuesday and Thursday. Tuesday training sessions are typically held at Mill Creek Park on the East side of the Country Club Plaza, and Thursday training sessions are typically held at Hyde Park at 39th and Gillham.
