KC Power journeyed to Minnesota with full expectations of a hard fought game, but with positive results for the Power.  Darrin Titon made his debut and Magic returned to wear the KC Power jersey for the first time in a few seasons. We got off to a solid start winning some great hard balls with Neil MacEachern kicking a great left foot goal and KC Power scoring the first 3 goals of the game. Others contributing well were Caleb Dougherty, and Mike Brookshire and captain Mat Kiefer in the middle. 

The 2nd and 3rd quarters belonged to Minnesota with KC Power having a lot of trouble retaining possession of the football with wayward disposal and inability to move the ball cleanly into the forward line.  The backline was holding out as much as possible with Wes Edwin leading the way and well supported by the Fritz brothers. Whilst Minnesota continued to kick goals, KC Power failed to bother the scorers through quarters 2 and 3 and saw a 19 to 40 score line deficit at 3/4 time. 

A leg injury to Ryan Richardson saw him sidelined for the remainder of the game and Mike Brookshire continued to work hard with an obvious head injury. Team position changes were applied for the final quarter which saw Wes and the Fritz bros moved up the ground onto the ball. Micah Fritz was proving his value and flexibility and was rewarded with a great long running goal. We need to work hard through the next few weeks and fine tune skills and game plans to be at our optimum for nationals.
